We are Sonalake, an Irish software partnering company, where 130+ people every day are pushing the boundaries to create the best software for our partners. We have our offices located in Dublin, Poznan and Bratislava.
We are looking for an Operations Engineer to work with one of our high growth Telecom Service Provider clients.What you will be responsible for:
- Monitoring and managing the day to day operation of BSS/OSS, ensuring that events are handled appropriately, documentation is up to date including (but not limited to) acceptance tests, site contacts, documentation suite.
- Manage the tracking and escalation of incidents and complete root cause analysis, providing immediate technical support and investigation to reported issues.
- Maintaining and updating Known error Database with internal and Partner collaboration.
- Liaising with our Network Operations team and customers to resolve enquiries and complaints.
- Provide technical support to non-technical operations staff.
Requirements
That’s why we need you to have:
- 2-3 years’ experience in Telecom or an IT Operations Systems and Cloud environment (AWS preferred but not essential).
- Knowledge of ITIL incident, problem and change management practices.
- A proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance.
- Great communication skills that include fluent English speaking skill.
- Strong working knowledge of unix, SQL and at least one scripting language such as Javascript
- Strong knowledge of SOAP amp; REST, and practical experience working with Postman and SoapUI applications. Understanding of both JSON and XML data payloads
- Assist with the execution of defined manual operations, via command line or application interface
