Take-on the position of Datacenter Hands and Feet for your allocated site
Take full ownership of the Datacenter and all accompanying contracts 3rd party suppliers and partners (Under the direction of the DC Lead)
Supplier management through affective communication monitoring and reporting, based on the feedback from the customer and results driven by the agreed SLA and KPI (Under the direction of the DC Lead)
Change control process, submitting / approving and acting as an approving stakeholder (Under the direction of the DC Lead)
Demand management, ensuring the process is followed and the customer is informed and updated from initiation to delivery
Team Management, working to manage and mentor the team from within and acting as a mentor and stand-in in time of sickness and holidays (Under the direction of the DC Lead)
Holistic view of the impact and effect of all your actions within the datacenter on the business across local and geographical environments
Datacenter Co-Ordination, manage all documentation and design activities, run, and manage the scheduled and unscheduled datacenter shutdowns, act as the onsite representative for the MIM team and be able to deliver calm and effective control and management of the environment in a crisis (Under the direction of the DC Lead)
Ownership of the Datacenter and management of that datacenter, you must know the site and be able to effectively own all issues and risks and have the ability to appropriately escalate when your responsibility boundaries are crossed or about to be crossed. (Under the direction of the DC Lead)
As required on occasions to work outside normal working hours and if required be part of an on-call roster
Run and participate in all Governance meetings taking minutes and action points, tracking, and closing within agreed timelines
Requirements
Academic Background
Graduate or Professionally Achieve Technology Based High Level Certifications in alignment to Datacenter infrastructure / Project and or Programme Management
Overall Experience (in yrs.)
8 - 10 years
Technical skills (Required - Mandatory)
DC Hands amp; Feet: Operations and management of business and non-business critical Datacenters (Hosted service) at the local LOM Level.
Experience in Datacenter Infrastructure management, Datacenter full lifecycle from commissioning to decommissioning, maintenance, monitoring and Transformation
Technical skills (Required - Nice to have)
Comprehensive and demonstratable understanding through hands-on experience of Cloud Technologies / Storage / Operating systems / Networking / Virtualization / Capacity Management / Datacenter management / Security and Vulnerability management / Database / monitoring / Active Directory (Understanding) / Disaster Recovery (DR) planning and execution / Major incident management
Language skills needed
High Level of Business English + Local Language
People skills
Working alongside and with the site DC Lead to (Harness effective Communication amp; Reporting)
